99-05 Chevy Silverado AirBar ABAR11007 Installation

1. Raise truck to a comfortable working height and support safely with jackstands under the frame. Place these stands ahead of the leafspring mount and at the rear of the frame to support it when the C notch is installed.
2. The C notch frame section will be installed first. Note that the front edge of the C notch is butted up to the round tube crossmember. Place the C notch against the framerail to scribe the outline for cutting the framerail. Be sure to “round” the corners of the cut to avoid any stress points This is the layout for cutting the frame for the C notch. Using a 1/2” drill to make the corners produces a rounded corner which is much less susceptible to a stress crack.

1984-1995 Honda Accord/Prelude Emissions PVC testing

The PCV valve is easily checked with the engine running at normal idle speed (warmed up). Gently pinch the hose shut, then release it; the valve should click. If there is no click, check for plugged hoses or ports. If these are open, the valve is faulty. With the engine OFF, remove the valve from the engine. Shake it, listening for the rattle of the plunger inside the valve. If no rattle is heard, the plunger is jammed (probably with oil sludge) and should be replaced. Never operate the engine without the PCV valve or with the hose blocked.
Don't blow directly into the valve in an effort to free the plunger; petroleum vapors and deposits within the valve are harmful.

1957 Cadillac Air Suspension – Part 1, The Front

After a number of years of engineering, Cadillac introduced air suspension on the 1957 Eldorado Brougham. For four years this option was offered, but since only 904 Broughams were built there were a very few equipped with air. In at least some years (if not all) from 1957 through 1960, Cadillac offered air suspension as a $215 option for both the Brougham and the non Brougham models. To do so, frames were built to accommodate both steel and air springs. Reports on these cars tell us that the system was quite remarkably smooth and comfortable (quite a complement considering Cadillac’s reputation for great ride) as long as they worked. The problem was that they were plagued with leaks. Leaks at fitting, and in controls, and anywhere else they could leak. They tended to freeze in the winter. You could lose air and drop the car without much warning. It was complicated and difficult to repair and maintain.
