R1200 C Motorcycles Clock and Tachometer Mount Bracket Z9510 Installation

Before installing the accessory, carefully consider whether one possesses the necessary technical skills (you must know how to access the battery on your R1200C) and workshop tools to complete the installation properly. Otherwise, any BMW Motorcycle Retailer will be glad to install this accessory. Left and Right are determined from the rider's position. Retain all fasteners removed from the motorcycle. All but a few fasteners will be reused. Placing removed fasteners into separate bags will be helpful in reassembly.

PRE-ASSEMBLE GAUGES
1. Insert the Wire Harness into the Gauge Bracket from below the gauge cups. The harness end with the lamp goes to the left, the harness end with five wires goes to the right.
2. Place a gauge sleeve on the clock side (left side) of the gauge bracket. Top of sleeve aligns as illustrated.
3. Connect the clock wires and light from the harness to the back of the clock. slide the clock into the gauge sleeve. Be certain your clock is aligned for correct reading after light bulb and wires are hooked up.
4. Use the nylon female screws to secure the gauge. (Hex Key Wrench 4mm) Tighten the female screws securely. Be careful, over tightening will strip the female screws.
5. Assemble the Rev Counter into sleeve and bracket and connect the wires to the wire harness by color.

PREPARE THE MOTORCYCLE
Place the motorcycle securely on a work stand or its side stand.
1. Remove the Fuel Tank, refer to the owners manual for the proper procedure.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Loosen the screws that secure the headlight to its mounting bracket. The screws do not need to be removed. (Hex Key wrench, 5mm).
4. Remove the chrome cover from the back of the indicator lights. (#2 Phillips).
5. Snip the wire ties at the cover mounting brackets. Remove the cover mounting brackets. (#2 Phillips).
6. Install the steel mounting brackets, using the supplied M4 x 25 screws, where the original cover mounting brackets were located. Make sure the alignment tabs are located in the slots just like the original brackets. Tighten to 30 in lbs. (Hex Key wrench, 3mm)
7. Drill out the screw holes in the indicator light cover. (Electric Drill with 3/8" Drill Bit).
8. Insert the Spacer Bushings into the drilled holes. The Bushings should align with the low flats on the inside of the cover screw bosses.
9. Place O-rings onto the Spacer Bushings on the out-side of the cover. A small drop of super glue will hold the O-rings in place.
