K04 Turbo Installation Write Up
The K04 kit comes with everything you need (except tools). Every gasket, nut, bolt and screw that is removed in order to get the K03 off and the K04 on is supplied within the kit. It is not recommended that you drive the car with either the K04 turbo and K03 programs or vice versa. So it is a good idea to have your ECU flashed with the K04 programs prior to installing the K04 by removing the ECU and sending it in to APR (see my ECU Removal Write Up).

Audi TT/Volkswagen Mark IV Front Big Brake Upgrade

These instructions are for the Audi TT and Volkswagen Mark IV chassis vehicles. The photos shown are of an Audi TT. The Volkswagen applications use the same caliper brackets, rotors and hats, and the caliper bodies are identical, so the installations are very similar on all vehicles. The one main difference is the brake lines, which may vary slightly from the photos shown. Also, brake pad wear sensors and ABS line routing may vary. Though the actual fitment may look slightly different, the order in which the kit is installed is the same for all vehicles.

Alfa Romeo 156 Brake Replacement

The procedure below was written up for a 1998 2.0 Twinspark with vented front discs but should be the same for all 156 models. The shape of the pads will differ between vented and solid discs at the front. Later models have larger rear discs and therefore different pads. It should not matter if we are talking standard brakes with normal or drilled/grooved discs with high-speed road pads - the process is the same. The only difference is that some front pads don’t have the wear indicator so you will need to tie the cable back out of the way if not required.

Now that you have familiarized yourself with the parts of the skid plate and prepared the tools you will need to do the job, you’re ready to get started.
Step #1: Drive your car onto a set of car ramps or jack the car up and place jack stands under the vehicle for safety. Also make sure to apply your emergency brake, (we recommend using both the ramps and the jack stands). Start by removing all of the plastic skid plates using your flat head screw driver. Also you will want to remove the metal bracket that is located just behind your lower sub frame. It is the black metal bracket that attaches to the frame with two 10mm head bolts. The following picture shows this bracket.
Some of the newer A4’s will have an extra plastic piece under your front fender liner that needs to be removed. It is held on with one Torx screw that is located directly in front of the tire in the fender well.

One of the world’s fastest and most powerful convertibles is made by G-POWER. The 335-km/h G-POWER M6 HURRICANE is based on the latest BMW M6. At the heart of the high-performance convertible is a five-liter V10 engine with G-POWER BI-Kompressor system that delivers 635 hp / 467 kW.

To achieve the desired increase in power output of 128 hp / 94 kW for the fast-revving engine that normally produces 507 hp / 373 kW, G-POWER has developed a high-tech supercharging system. The system uses one belt-driven ASA T1-12 compressor for each cylinder bank. Contrary to conventional mechanical chargers that waste a large portion of the additional power on being driven themselves, the ASA compressor has an efficiency rate of up to 80 percent. The ASA charger is also small, which allows G-POWER to install two of them in the tight confines of the M6 engine bay. The speculation about the concept's powertrain has gone in several directions, almost all of which were correct. The new concept is a plug-in hybrid with a three cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Conceived with the idea of melding the performance of an M3 with exceptionally low fuel consumption, BMW claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.8 seconds while scoring 62.6 mpg (U.S.) on the EU combined test cycle.

There has been considerable speculation that future BMWs would go to smaller engines including a three cylinder. The concept uses a 1.5-liter turbodiesel that is essentially half of the fabulous 3.0-liter found in the 335d. The triple is rated at a hefty 163 hp with peak torque of 214 lb-ft. The engine is paired with a 6-speed DCT derived from the unit used in the M3 and Z4.

How Permanent 4 system works
On vehicles with permanent four-wheel drive new technical solutions have been adopted characterized by a series of devices able to guarantee optimal traction even under critical road holding conditions. These results have been obtained thanks to the adoption of a central “viscous coupling” able to transfer part of the deflecting torque from one drive shaft to another whenever there is wheel slip due to bad road conditions. Under good road holding conditions the vehicle behaves liked a front wheel drive vehicle but has the advantage that the rear axle permanently contributes to the thrust with a small torque (about 5%) transferred by the viscous coupling which, like a differential device, allows small differences in the speed of the front and rear wheels. Drive is transmitted to the viscous coupling (2) from the electromagnetic coupling (1) which is controlled by an electronic control unit which automatically engages/disengages it in accordance with evaluation parameters set by the control unit itself and measures by the relevant sensors and components. The rotating mass (3) located at the end of the drive shaft enables the vibrations generated by the imbalance of the system to be absorbed.

The main purpose of this work was to improve the WAVE model of the V6 3.2l engine, scheduled for installation in the GTA version of the popular Alfa Romeo 156 vehicle. Moreover, this work was also part of a comparative study between two intake manifolds differing in shape and volume. Whilst the performance of an engine is typically investigated using the 1D engine cycle simulation program WAVE alone, for this application the authors believe that only the use of the 3D CFD code VECTIS coupled with WAVE can accurately capture how the manifold influences the behaviour of the engine.

The destination charge will be $775 and is not included in the base price, and the gas guzzler tax will be determined prior to arrival at U.S. showrooms in fall 2007. Richard and Phil set off from Tokyo last month (June) to drive from Japan’s capital to London’s Trafalgar Square, a journey which would see them become the first people to drive the full extent of the new Asian Highway road network.

2006 Cadillac Star Black Limited Edition XLR

2005 Cadillac STS SAE 100

The STS SAE 100 is powered by a supercharged LS2 engine yielding 505 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 520 lb.-ft. of torque at 3600 rpm. It is mated to GM HydraMatic's newly developed, longitudinal 6L90E six-speed transmission, capable of supporting more powerful engines like the supercharged LS2. The transmission features Driver Shift Control, which gives the driver the ability to shift gears sequentially with a tap up/ tap down mechanism.

A design team led by GM Designer Chip Thole designed the new Cadillac BLS show car and the premium sedan is thus immediately recognizable as a member of the Cadillac family. "The most striking feature is the emphasis of the vertical lines on the front and rear," says Thole. "The characteristic v-form of the chrome-plated grill is picked up again by the trunk lid. The large side faces communicate a sense of strength and solidity." Nineteen-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels underline the impressive looks of the show car.

2007 Cadillac SLS

GM's luxury brand, Cadillac has enjoyed remarkable success since its introduction to the China luxury market in 2004. The Cadillac China portfolio, consisting of the CTS sedan, the XLR roadster and the SRX crossover, will now be complimented with the all-new SLS and the Escalade SUV. Based on the STS sport sedan, the SLS has been lengthened by 100mm to add rear seat legroom. The interior is designed to meet specific local needs in this primarily chauffeur-driven luxury segment. Three engine options will be available which include the 2.8L V6, a 3.6L V6 and the top-level Northstar 4.6L V8 with 239kW/320hp. The new SLS will be built at the Shanghai GM plant for the Chinese market.

2007 Big 3 Cadillac Escalade ESV Supercharged

Big 3 Performance has utilized the supplied technology from supercharger giant Paxton/Vortech to release a highly anticipated supercharger system for the Cadillac SUV enthusiast. While Paxton/Vortech's management knew the 6.2L supercharger system would be in great demand, their product portfolio placed its release far off in the future. This ultimately lead to Big 3 Performance striking a deal approximately eight months ago to fabricate the systems in house and become the first to offer a supercharger system for the 2007+ Cadillac SUV's.
