1.) Rear Leaf Springs: We strongly recommend that you increase the number of leafs in the rear main springs before you begin the installation process. In most cases we have found that these additional leafs (Dodge - 4 leafs, Chev. - 3 leafs and Ford - 2 leafs), in addition to an in-cab controlled airbag system, will be adequate in most cases. The use of an airbag system has always proven to be far more effective than additional helper/overload springs.

The TXT’s legendary durability comes from classic engineering—ductile and cast iron housings to absorb overloads, helical gears for smooth torque transmission and double-lip spring load seals to contain lubrication. No shortcuts. No cheating on quality, material and reliablity factors.
Like any rotating asset that’s driven hard, TXTs eventually wear out. These reducers operate in harsh conditions with airborne contaminants and there’s typically no time for preventive maintenance. Seals tend to go first, leaking oil. Once they fail, then bearings, gears and hubs follow.

The TAG is intended to be used with the silencer ring in place. On 94-2002 Dodge trucks install the longer side into the turbo housing and the shorter side will be facing the inside of the intake boot. Remove the rubber boot from the turbo charger inlet and insert the TAG into the rubber boot with the longest part of the TAG facing outward as shown. The TAG should snap into the groove inside the boot. Place the supplied band clamp over the hose as shown in the photo below. Slip the boot back over the turbo inlet using one hand through the boot to guide the TAG into the turbo.

RIGHT SIDE: 1. Remove top of heater blower box from lower heater box assembly in engine compartment.
2. Remove the bolts from the coolant reservoir so it can be moved around.
3. Disconnect spark plug wires from spark plugs and move out of the way.
4. Loosen the 2nd and 4th upper header flange bolts for mounting bracket installation.
5. Install one mounting bracket on each of the two header flange bolts loosened in Step 4. Position the brackets so that the slot on the end is straight down under the bolt and bracket is flat on top. These brackets will angle forward and down slightly when installed properly. NOTE: Before attempting to install the heat shield onto the brackets, first measure the distance between the threaded holes in the mounting brackets. You should have 9 1/8” from center to center of holes. If you don’t, you can bend the brackets with a pair of pliers or a small hammer. Doing this will make heat shield installation much easier.

For easier assembly and installation, vehicle and all snowplow components should be on a smooth, level, hard surface, such as concrete.
1. Remove license plate bracket and retain for vehicle owner. Remove bumper from bumper brackets. Retain fasteners.
2. Remove bumper brackets from frame. Diesel and V10 applications: On these applications, you must first remove the top two intercooler fasteners. Then push intercooler up and out to provide clearance to remove bumper bracket bolt assembly. Retain fasteners. Vehicles equipped with tow hooks will need tow hooks and tow hook brackets removed. These cannot be reinstalled with plow mount. Retain tow hooks, brackets and fasteners for reinstallation if snowplow is removed.

I am not a mechanic, nor do I claim to know the best way to install this kit. This is simply a document detailing
the method I used to install the springs on my wife’s 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T 4.0L.
Installation:
1. Read through all the instructions at least 1 time, and then begin the installation process.
2. Using the 10mm wrench, remove the battery terminal connectors.
3. Remove the bottom bolt from the battery tray; this should free the battery to be lifted out.
4. After the battery has been removed, open the fuse box and disconnect the RED cable using a 13mm socket.

Step 1: Prior to lifting the vehicle it is recommended that you measure the stock height so that you have a base line measurement. Measure from the bottom of the wheel to the lip of the fender, as in Insert A.
Position vehicle on a flat surface and lift vehicle by the frame so that the front wheels are off the ground. Use a floor jack and jack stands or a (2) two post lift if available. Next, locate the torsion key at the rear of the torsion bar under the cab of the vehicle.

Installation instructions:
1. Remove the bracket assembly from the vehicle.
2. Remove all of the old rubber from inside of the original shell before installing the New Energy Suspension bushings. If heat is used to remove the old rubber, you need to only heat the outer shell enough to loosen the bond of the old rubber. Do NOT burn out the bushing. Always use the proper protective/safety gear for the job and work in a well ventilated area.

A new concept coupe to be shown at the Detroit auto show in January will take the name of Challenger. The long-expected two-door will take on the Ford Mustang directly with a chassis derived from Chrysler's 300C/Magnum twins, along with a 425-hp version of the HEMI V-8 in the most thrilling versions. Chrysler is expected to show the car as a concept at the show, but insiders suggest the vehicle will be in production as early as 2009 on a new version of the 300C platform. Chrysler has only offered this official sketch of the concept prior to the January auto show debut, but these spy shots were taken last week as the vehicle was prepared for its auto-show debut.
