Dodge Nitro Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Installation

I am not a mechanic, nor do I claim to know the best way to install this kit. This is simply a document detailing
the method I used to install the springs on my wife’s 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T 4.0L.
Installation:
1. Read through all the instructions at least 1 time, and then begin the installation process.
2. Using the 10mm wrench, remove the battery terminal connectors.
3. Remove the bottom bolt from the battery tray; this should free the battery to be lifted out.
4. After the battery has been removed, open the fuse box and disconnect the RED cable using a 13mm socket.
5. Once the cable has been removed and lifted out, close the fuse box cover. Push the 4 clips in on the sides of the fuse box and lift up.
6. Once the fuse box has been lifted up, you will have to disconnect the two connectors closest to the engine (one on the side and one underneath). To do this, you have to push the red inner clip down, and then pull the connector out while pulling the white lever down.
7. Once the two cables have been disconnected, you should be able to move the fuse box off to the side.
8. Using the 10mm socket, remove the 3 bolts holding the fuse box mount to the battery tray. Once removed, you should be able to slide the mount towards the rear of the car and then out of the engine compartment.
9. Once the fuse box bracket has been removed, use the 13mm socket to remove the 3 bolts holding in the battery tray.
10. In order to remove the battery tray, you will have to remove two cable management ties, one by the bolt closest to the rear of the car, and one furthest to the driver’s side wheel. If you are careful when you pull them out of the holes, you should be able to re-use the ties. You will also have to slide the one vacuum unit up and off.
11. Remove the battery tray from the car.
12. Switching to the passenger side of the car, we will now remove the airbox.
13. Begin by disconnecting the two front clips and intake tube clamp (using flat head screwdriver). Remove the air filter.
14. In order to remove the bottom half of the airbox, you must squeeze or pry the sides of the front inlet tube while pulling up. The airbox has 3 guides on the bottom which simply come out when lifted.
