BD Power Intimidator Duramax 6.6L Installation Instructions

Pre-Installation
The user must ensure that the factory "STOCK" tune is in the vehicle's PCM before installing a modified program over top of it. Serious engine damage will occur if the tune is installed over a non-factory/aftermarket performance tune. The Intimidator also cannot be used in conjunction with other tuning devices. Do not try to install the Intimidator if the battery voltage is low.

Part One: Rear bracket attachment
Step 1) Attach the rear brackets to the step as shown in Figure 1, using a washer, E, and nut, I, on each stud. Tighten each nut.
Step 2) Place the cross member in position as shown in Figure 2, and secure using washers D and F, and one nut, H on each stud. Leave fasteners loose, as the bracket slots will be used to determine exact fit of rear upright bracket.

Location of Data Link Connector (DLC)
The DLC (Data Link Connector or Diagnostic Link Connector) is the standardized 16-cavity connector where diagnostic brake tools interface with the vehicle's on-board computer. The DLC is usually located 12 inches from the center of the instrument panel (dash), under or around the driver’s side for most vehicles. If Data Link Connector is not located under dashboard, a label should be there telling location. For some Asian and European vehicles, the DLC is located behind the ashtray and the ashtray must be removed to access the connector. If the DLC cannot be found, refer to the vehicle’s service manual for the location.

Cabin Air Filters Application & Installation Guide

1. • Stop windshield wipers in up position. • Open hood
2. • Remove the cap on screw in center of cowl cover. • Unscrew half way & pull out fitting. • Unsnap 3 clips on front edge of cover & remove cover.
3. • Either a filter or screen is visible under louver. Flip out front edge of housing & remove the filter or plate.
4. • Replace with a clean Cabin Air Filter. Make sure the arrows on the filter are facing up. • Reclip front of housing in place & replace the cowl cover.
