2006 Hamann BMW M5 Edition Race

HAMANN offers its clients three different engine tuning options. The high revving 5-litre V10 with 507 bhp and 520 Nm is limited to 250km/h as standard. By removing the engine limiter, the racy Bavarian can reach top speeds of between 300km/h and 320km/h, depending on the wheel and tyre combination. The second option is made up of a combination of removing the engine limiter and optimising the engine characteristics by reprogramming the standard engine computer. HAMANN manages to tease an additional 30bhp/26kW and 15 Nm out of the V10 engine. The “HM/M +60" sport kit provides even better performance. The kit is made up of high-performance headers, metallic sports catalytic converters, a sports rear silencer, a sports air filter, an engine map optimisation and the removal of engine restrictions. As the name of the sports kit already suggests, the engine then provides around an additional 60bhp/44kW and can provide an extra 54 Nm of torque, meaning that a notably faster top speed of up to 320km/h can be reached.

2008 Chevrolet Aveo Euro

The most significant features of this completely reworked model are its striking exterior, its high-class interior and a new, even more efficient petrol engine. Like its notchback stable mate, the new hatchback model will now bear the Aveo name throughout Europe.

The Aveo hatchback sports Chevrolet’s new design features, as characterised by the big horizontally split radiator grille with a body-coloured crossbeam and the brand logo sitting prominently in the center. The dynamic detailing includes large, curved, clear-glass headlamps and fog lamps that project like spotlights from the lower part of the bumper. In profile, the body’s prominent shoulder lines catch the eye, while the back of the car is dominated by the solid bumper and the round tail lamps in a clear-glass housing.

There is a choice of two petrol engines: a new 1.2-litre unit with an output of 84 hp , and the existing 1.4-litre engine, which now develops 98 hp and is available with automatic transmission.

Audi A4/Volkswagen Passat 1.8T BCS (Boost Control System) Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions
1) In order to gain access to the engine computer, it is helpful to reposition the windshield wipers. Turn the ignition on and turn on the windshield wipers. When the wipers reach the vertical position, turn off the ignition. Make sure the ignition is turned off and the key is removed before continuing with the installation.
2) Inside the engine compartment there is a plastic box near the firewall on the driver side. In order to access the back screw, remove the plastic cap located adjacent to the driver side wiper arm. Remove the screws that hold down the plastic cover.
3) Remove the black plastic cover to access the ECU.
4) Find a suitable location to mount the BCS. In most cases the unit is installed in the opening of the center console near the car stereo. The unit is held in place with the Velcro that is provided.
5) Route the wires through the center console to an opening located near the clutch or brake pedal.
6) Route the BCS wires from the pedal area to the open hole in the side of the ECU box.
7) Remove the ECU connector covers by cutting the zip ties and pulling off the covers from the connector housings.
8) Remove about eight inches of the cloth tape around the ECU wiring harness.
9) Make the connections about six inches away from the ECU connectors.
10) Use the ECU pin diagram below to help you locate the correct wires to connect into.
11) Verify the correct wire for each connection by pin number and wire color code. See the reverse side of this page for wiring instructions.

Calibration Procedure
The rear panel calibration adjustment allows you to fine tune the BCS for your vehicle. If the setting is too high or too low, your car will not make full power. After the BCS is installed, the rear panel adjustment can be set during a short test drive. Start with the setting on maximum (100). See if the car pulls strongly to redline. Turn down the setting until the cars pulls strongly to redline in all gears. If the cars surges (cyclic variation in power), turn down the setting a little bit. Most 1999 and 2000 cars will wind up set near zero. Many 2001 cars will work best near 90

Wiring Instructions
The diagram below shows the location of the wires on the ECU connector plugs that are used to tie in the BCS. Be sure to trace the wires to the ECU pins to insure that connections are made to the correct wires. Do not go by wire color alone. You must confirm the correct wire by connector location. Connections will be made to the wiring harness a few inches from the side of the engine computer. All connections are made using the crimp connectors that are provided. The T-tap connectors are in two parts. The dark red piece is clamped onto the wire with a pair of pliers. After striping the corresponding wire from the BCS, crimp on the male spade connector. Make sure you crimp onto the bare wire and not the insulation. Shrink the insulation onto the wire with a heat gun. Inspect the male spade connector to make sure that the spade terminal is centered inside the insulator. This will insure that it mates properly with the T-tap connector. Push the male spade onto the T-tap connector until it snaps into place.

DICE ipod BMW Z4 Installation

This “how to” guide installs the kit into a Z4 with no CD changer and a standard business cd (no sat nav), ipod location in the central compartment.

3: Now it’s a bit of a pain, but to get easier access to centre console I removed the boot carpet. Use a large flat head screwdriver to remove the retaining screws on the left and the right hand side of the boot. You need to reach behind the carpet to hold the nut at the back.

Red Snub Mount Installation

1. Allow engine to cool before beginning installation.
2. Access the underside of the vehicle.
- APR recommends utilizing a lift for this installation.
- A jack with jack stands or ramps can be used if a lift is not available.
3. Remove the Splash Shield. With the flat head screw driver, unfasten all of the quarter turn screws. Note how splash shield is oriented in the car before removing.
4. Remove the three 6mm bolts from the front lower engine mount.

BMW Concept X6

BMW presents the concept car X6 on this years IAA in Frankfurt, Germany. They created a new category of car, the Sports Activity Coupé. The car is 4.88 m long, 1.98 m wide and 1.70 m high. The Ultimate Dice Installation Manual For The 2007 BMW X3

Step 1: Remove the Armrest Tray
Open the top portion of the arm-rest and take out the rubber mat that is inside. It is secured by rubber stubs and will “snap” out when you pull on it. Next, take the T-15 Torx and remove the (4) screws that secure the upper armrest tray to the armrest assembly. Place the screws in a Zip Lock bag or other, secure area. Once you remove the tray, you will see the connectors for the BMW cell phone kit.
Do not touch or damage the cellular connections. You are now ready to move on to Step 2.

BMW Motorcycles SA314 Siren Speaker Mounting Bracket Installation Guide

The SA314 speaker bracket mounts on the left side crash bar of your motorcycle. If you have a light mounted here, the bracket mounting screws may share some or all of the mounting holes.
1. Secure the mounting brackets to the SA314 speaker using the provided hardware. Make sure that the brackets are properly oriented before proceeding.
2. Now secure the bracket onto the motorcycle using the supplied mounting hardware as shown below.
3. Connect the speaker to your siren as outlined in your siren installation manual.

2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster

BMW Z3/Coupe ProjectorZ Projector Lighting System Installation Instructions

These instructions will walk you through the few steps required to install the system. Note that this system is compatible with all versions of the Z3, Z3 Coupe and M Roadster or M Coupe, regardless of model year or headlight variation.

The kit is very easy to install. But you must take your time. It is suggested that you wear eye protection when installing the system if your product is fitted with the optional DDE Lightning Plus™ rings. All fluorescent lamps contain small amounts of the element Mercury. If you break a ring do not blow the debris away or inhale the powder. Wipe up any debris with a damp paper towel and dispose of it. Handle the rings with care until they are installed inside of the bezel of the headlights and they will provide years of trouble free operation. Lamps can last for over 100,000 hours of operation.

BMW Z3 Model 68 Subwoofer Installation Instructions

Read these instructions from start to finish twice before you even go near the car! Professional installation is recommended for those who are unfamiliar with car audio. These instructions assume you have already installed your new amplifier.

Remove old enclosure:
1. Carefully remove the subwoofer enclosure cover by first lifting the rear edge of the cover and then lifting entire cover straight up. The cover should lift out with minimal effort, but may require some additional effort to release the rear snaps. Take your time and be careful when removing the sub lid! The easiest thing to do is to insert a flat, metal, handled-tool like a stiff putty knife and carefully pry each side up from the back. NOTE: If you have the storage compartment, you may find it easier to temporarily remove the storage compartment lid while performing the install.

2002-up AUDI A4 1.8t AWD 21mm Rear Anti-Roll Bar Installation Instructions

1. Park car on a flat, level surface capable of supporting the vehicle’s weight on jack and jack stands.
2. Using the manufacturers recommended lifting point(s), raise rear of vehicle and support with jack stands. NEVER WORK ON A VEHICLE SUPPORTED ONLY WITH A JACK!
3. Release left and right muffler from hangar and allow exhaust to droop.
4. Remove four mounting bolts (13mm hex) and two end link bolts (16mm hex). Remove anti-roll bar from vehicle.
5. Prepare sub-frame and brackets for welding by removing paint from surfaces around weld areas.

Please note the following:
1) This is for information ONLY; you take full responsibility for what you do. If you blow up your car, do not come yelling at me.
2) I did this install on a US spec 2005 BMW Z4. I do NOT know if it will work on BMW’s from other countries.
3) This install did NOT work because my Z4 already had an auto top down feature from BMW that is conflicting with the E-Open. In order to get this to work in my car I have to find out how to disable the internal remote top down feature. The unit was removed from my old 2003 Z4 and it worked just fine. All of the connections are the same.
The car: If your car was made 4/04 or later, you will have problems. The car already has an Auto-Top down feature.

The system will still display the caller (depends on mobile phone) into the cluster. In case the caller is not stored by name the number will be displayed in the cluster. Without MFSW you need to operate the system by using the mobile phone.

Concept BMW CS

The BMW Concept CS was created by a team at BMW Design Development in Munich and comes with several exterior and interior design touches that could make their way on to future models. Its body width increases towards the rear to emphasise the sporting pretensions and wide track of the car. The BMW Concept CS is 400mm wider (1,978mm excl mirrors) and 67mm longer (5,106mm) compared to a standard wheelbase BMW 7 Series. Its sleek profile hinting at the low centre of gravity is confirmed by a roof line that, at its zenith, is just 1,367mm - 124mm lower than a BMW 7 Series. While the Concept CS is a vision of one possible future, it still retains its core BMW DNA. Chevrolet has revealed the HHR Panel SS – a customized vision that previews a forthcoming production model differing only slightly from the stylized SEMA concept. The Panel SS fuses the production HHR SS's turbocharged powertrain and race track-bred suspension with the unique HHR Panel body style.

"It was natural that our designers and engineers brought up the 'what if' question when it came to the HHR SS and the HHR Panel," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. "They were given the nod to pursue it and we think the result is fun and exciting; it amplifies the very best attributes that have made the HHR so popular with customers."

BMW E46 3 Series Z8 Engine Start Button Install

Procedure:
Remove the dashboard panel and small glove box from around the driver’s pedals and below the steering column – four Philips screws to remove the driver’s glove box, one plastic push pin rivet, one Philips screw and the clutch pedal stop screw to remove the main panel. Remove the cover under and below the steering wheel/column. Two push pin rivets - push in the centre pins, they will fall loose, then pull downwards on the cover, it needs a bit of force to come free as there are plastic tabs holding the column surround together just behind the wheel. This will expose most of the area behind the lower driver’s dash, the ignition wiring loom and its switch terminals.

The T tap has dielectric grease inside to protect the connection from moisture. Place the wire across the two U slots and close. The T tap accepts “plug in” blade connectors which allows the service technician the ability to disconnect the FUEL Plus when diagnosing a problem. An alternate method of connection is to strip the insulation, then solder a supplied wire to the bike wire, then cover it with tape. Self fusing tape will bond to itself creating a lasting water tight seal. Wire colors are stated as (solid color/ stripe). You may have to roll the wire over to see the stripe. The PA12-BMW interface connects iPod products directly to BMW audio system. Its on-board software translates the factory radios external CD Changer controls functions into commands that the iPod understands. Audi A6/A8/Q7MMI CT90-AU06 Multimedia Interface Installation

This interface allows additional video inputs to the original MMI screen;
2 Video inputs/Automatically switchable camera input/ RGB Navigation input
There are also 2 video outputs and an audio output.
Selection can be made by infra red remote control or by the Nav button in the vehicle.
The remote control can also be used to adjust the picture via an on screen menu.
If a camera and reverse signal wire are connected it will automatically switch when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.
The vehicle shown in the installation instructions is a 2006 Audi A6 LHD. The installation and locations of units in the A8 and Q7 will be similar.
During the installation it is advised that the keys are removed from the ignition, until all components are reconnected.

Step 1: Complete kit. Make sure you have all the components before you begin your installation
Step 2: Complete stock intake
Step 3: a. Remove two screws holding factory fresh air duct in place.
b. Pull fresh air duct out of vehicle and save for later use
Step 4: a. . Remove two screws holding top half of airbox in place.
b. Loosen clamp holding factory tube in place.
c. Unplug MAF Sensor.
Step 5: Remove top half of factory airbox.
Step 6: Remove clamp holding top breather filter on factory tube.
Step 7: Remove clamps holding second breather from top of factory tube. Save elbow for later use.
Step 8: Remove clamps holding third breather filter from top of factory tube. Plug can be disconnected for ease of removal.
Step 9: Loosen clamp holding fourth breather down from top of tube with slotted screwdriver.
Step 10: Loosen clamp at turbo and Last breather tube. Pull factory tube out of vehicle.
Step 11: Pull off front grill near Passenger side fog lamp
Step 12: Remove fog light from vehicle.
Step 13: Disconnect Air pump hose at pump.
Step 14: Remove fitting from air pump hose and install provided breather filter. Install filter onto air pump and replace fog lamp and grill.
Step 15: Remove MAF Sensor from top half of air box.
