Bulletin are for TT Coupe, TT Roadster procedure will differ slightly.

Rear spoiler, removing
– Remove interior hatch trim (refer to ZX Recall work procedure beginning page 8 for complete details).
– Remove four spoiler retainer nuts.
– Using a marker pen, mark location (on spoiler edge) of 4 studs that fasten spoiler to lid
– Using masking tape, cover the lid around spoiler, starting as close to lower edge of spoiler as possible and working outward providing adequate protection for hatch lid when cutting the adhesive (see illustrations 66-A042 and 66-A044 for additional views of masking tape areas).
Note: Tape must be applied to protect paint finish when cutting the adhesive. Use special tool VAG 1351 along with cutting wire.
♦ Hold cutting wire at the angle as illustrated (arrows)
Note: Proper angle of the wire is needed to ensure minimal contact with the hatch or trunk lid, see illustration for proper angle.
– Standing as shown, start cutting adhesive from outer edge by pulling wire towards the first stud (previously marked on spoiler edge).
Note: If cutting wire does not continue to move when pulled evenly, work wire back and forth using a slow sawing motion to continue. However, minimize sawing motion to prevent paint damage.
– Remove cutting wire once you have reached the first stud.
