2009 Mitsubishi Outlander RX Special Edition

Mitsubishi has released a special edition version of its Outlander SUV which boasts a raft of aesthetic, functional and safety-oriented extras.

Packing the larger of the Outlander’s two engine options, the Outlander RX sports a 3.0 litre sports-tuned V6 MIVEC mill and a six-speed automatic transmission, featuring sports mode as standard. Fuel economy is impressive, with the V6 returning 10.9l/100km.

2009 Range Rover Sport

The Range Rover Sport presents the driver with a massive console and instrument panel holding a bank of plastic buttons and a small, green monochrome display. The standard navigation system uses its own touch-screen LCD, set in the middle of the dashboard. No audio or phone information is shown on the LCD. We do like the keypad on the instrument panel, which makes it easy to dial phone numbers with a Bluetooth-paired phone. Two phone buttons on the steering wheel let you initiate and end phone calls. There is also a voice command button on the steering wheel, but it only works with the navigation system. When we delved into its help menus, it told us we could use the command "Display audio information," along with a few similar commands, but none of these had any effect.

Hummer H2 Black Chrome

Hummer a new version to its H2 SUV and SUT line-up called Black Chrome at 2009. This is limited edition H2 SUV and SUT models are distinguished on the outside by the black chrome detailing that includes the 22-inch chrome-clad wheels, grille, hood latches and handles, fuel filler door, door handles, mirror caps, badges, side air vents, spare tire cover emblem, rocker moldings and hood louver. Hummer offers three exterior colours for the Black Chrome editions; the new-for-2009, Silver Ice Metallic, Sedona Metallic and Carbon Black Metallic. The first two colours are combined with the Ebony/Shale interior, while the Sedona Metallic (pictured above) which is exclusive to the Black Chrome edition, is offered only with the Sedona interior. According to GM, production of the H2 SUV and SUT Black Chrome models will be limited to 1,300 units worldwide.
