You have just purchased the best engineered, dyno-proven intake system available. Please check the contents of this box immediately. Report any defective or missing parts to the Authorized Injen Technology dealer you purchased this product from. Before installing any parts of this system, please read the instructions thoroughly. If you have any questions regarding installation please contact the dealer you purchased this product from. Installation DOES require some mechanical skills. A qualified mechanic is always recommended.
*Do not attempt to install the intake system while the engine is hot. The installation may require removal of radiator fluid line that may be hot. Injen Technology offers a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty claims must be handled through the dealer from which the item was purchased.
Note: Disconnect the battery terminals before starting this installation
1 Remove the air intake box and air intake duct leading to the throttle body.
2 Slip th 2.75” straight hose onto the throttle body and use two clamps. Tighten the clamp on throttle body at this point. See fig. 3
3 Remove the air temperature sensor from the air intake box and the rubber gasket. Place the gasket and the air temperature sensor onto the billet bracket on the intake. See fig. 3
4 Take the intake with the air temperature control sensor facing the drivers side of the fender insert the intake into the throttle body as seen in figures 1 and 2. Do not tighten the clamp at this point. The longest straight end of the intake should face towards the front of the car.
5 Replace all of the stock lines with the red hose provided in the kit. Be sure to match up inner diameter of the red hose to the vacuum ports. You may need to trim the hose to the size you need when replacing the lines. See figures 1 and 2
6 Slightly lift the intake up and slip the Injen filter onto the intake and tighten the clamp on the filter.
7 Properly fit the entire system in place as seen in figure 1. Make sure the clamp is tightly secured onto the throttle body. Snap the harness back onto the sensor attached to the billet piece. Once proper clearance has been made continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps.
8 Reconnect the battery terminals and remove all tools and rags from the engine conpartment before starting your engine.
9 Congratulations! You have just completed this installation.
