AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REMOVAL
1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM HINT: Evacuate
air from refrigeration system. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage
of refrigerant. Specified amount: w/o Rear A/C: 900 ±50g (31.74 ±1.76oz.)
w/Rear A/C 1,150 ±50g (40.56 ±1.76oz.)
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
3. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE FROM HEATER RADIATOR PIPES HINT:
Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as ridge on the pipe
and install the hose clip.
Install the hose clip in a position.
4. DISCONNECT LIQUID AND SUCTION TUBES
Remove the 2 bolts and the both tubes.
Torque: 10 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft. lb.)
NOTICE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
HINT: Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.
5. REMOVE COOL BOX
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
7. REMOVE A/C UNIT (a) Disconnect the connectors. (b) Remove drain hose. (c)
Remove the 2 bolts and A/C unit.
