Prepare to Install Kit Drivers Side of Vehicle
Install kit driver side front bracket (body mounted).
a. Support Transmission crossmember remove two bolts on driver side frame rail.
b. Disconnect emergency brake cable at connection located in proximity to crossmember.

INSTALLATION STEPS
1. This hitch mounts to the driver and passenger side frame rail extensions under the tow loop brackets.
2. Under the rear of the vehicle, locate the passenger side tow loop bracket attached to the frame rail extensions. Remove the tow loop bracket by removing (2) nuts from the bumper mounting bolts and (2) 8mm bolts in the frame rail extensions. Replace the (2) nuts removed from the bumper mounting bolts. Repeat the same procedure for the driver's side tow loop bracket. Return brackets to the vehicle's owner for reinstallation if the hitch is ever removed.

Procedure installing the Grill to Honda CRV
1. Remove the plastic rivets securing the plastic guard located underneath the vehicle in order to install the front bar.
2. Start with the passenger side assembly, postion one of the 7/16 nut plates behind the cross member opening and align the 7/16 nut plate wit the two matching holes in the frame rail. Fasten the frame brackets to the bottom cross member as shown in the illustration using the 7/16 x 1 ¼ hex bolts, 7/16 washers, 5/16 self tapping bolt and 5/16 washers. Note: Do not over tighten 5/16 x 1 self tapping bolt as it might strip threads.

Raising Vehicle
Raise front of the vehicle by using a 4 post lift or drive-on ramps. Securely block the rear wheels of the vehicle. Do not remove the front wheels during installation. It is imperative that the vehicle is at ride height for this installation.
Install Frame Mounts
First step is to install the frame mounts. The mounts utilize existing rivet holes in the frame. You will need to air chisel the rivets as shown below. Once the holes are clear, grab the 3/8” x 1.5” hex bolts & washers from the “front” hardware bag and insert them into the rivet holes facing down. Position the mounting bracket to the frame rail and begin fastening the 3/8” bolts with the provided washers and nylock nuts. Do not tighten all the way! Grab the 3/8” x 1.25” hex bolts and drop them into the mount holes on the bracket itself. Don’t forget to use washers. You can now fully tighten the frame bolts at this time.

Truck Crossmember Kit installation for Chevrolet Pick-up
1. Start by supporting the truck on 4 jack stands. The truck should be sitting at approximately the same angle as it does on the ground or slightly lower in front.
2. Remove all the old suspension components from the frame. The front spring shackle mounts riveted in the frame are used for a measuring point. The top of the frame rail should also be flattened in the area where it is turned up for the old steering box mount.
3. The radiator support crossmember will need to be modified next. Figure 1 shows the rear section that will need to be removed to provide clearance for the rack and pinion. The front section of the crossmember re- mains in place to support the radiator.

Remember the basic rule for a successful installation:
1. Start your installation by supporting the truck on 4 jack stands. The truck should be sitting on the approximate angle that it does on the ground, or slightly lower in front.
2. Begin by removing all the stock suspension components from the frame. The front crossmember should be left in place.
3. Boxing the rails is next. The flange on the left rail should be flattened where the old steering box was mounted and made straight and true. The boxing plates are to stand square on the lower rail flange. The frame rail top edges should be ground straight so the boxing plates fit tight to the rail edges. Do not grind too much off the rails. The boxing plates are then clamped in place, with the front end of the plates against the back of the stock crossmember. Weld in short sections at a time in alternating locations to minimize warpage. It is also a good idea to clamp a bar across the rails to hold them in place during welding. Grind smooth when done. Figure 1.

INSTALLING THE FORWARD 4-LINK MOUNTING BRACKET:
1. The stock‘58-64 Chevy forward control-arm brackets will need to be trimmed to accept the new fabricat- ed forward 4-link control-arm brackets in your kit.
2. Looking at the front of the factory control- arm bracket, you’ll need to remove the material as shown. Keep the outside edge of the bracket (pen pointing to this edge) vertically straight. The new bracket seats against this edge on both sides of chassis.
3. Install the new bracket all the way into the stock frame bracket pocket until it seats on the outer edge. Keep the new bracket to the top edge of pocket
