00-05 Mitsubishi Eclipse Front Kit Part No. 75504

Always keep safety in mind when working on your vehicle. Completely read these instructions before installing the kit.
Preparing the Vehicle
1. Elevate the vehicle and secure the frame with jack stands.
2. Remove the front wheels.
Strut Removal
1. Remove the three nuts securing the upper strut mounting bracket and discard.
NOTE: These are located inside the engine compartment above the strut pocket.
2. Remove the ABS and brake line bracket and discard the bolts
3. Remove the sway bar link and retain hardware for reinstallation
4. Remove the two lower strut mounting bolts and retain for reinstallation.
5. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
Assembling the Strut
1. Attach the upper mounting bracket (E) through the three original upper mounting bracket holes using the three supplied bolts (I), nyloc nuts (A) and the three supplied flat washers (B) (Figure 6). Tighten securely.
2. Assemble the hose (F) by applying loctite or a similar thread sealant to both ends of the leader hose (Figure 7a). Next, attach the air fitting (J) to one end of the hose and attach the hose to the inlet port on the new strut assembly (G or H).
3. Place the supplied strut bearing (came on strut) and rubber bushing (came on strut), rubber side facing up, onto the strut shaft.
