Chevrolet Van 97 & Up Sway Bar Installation

This bar was designed to replace your original equipment sway-bar. The diameter of the bar has been increased for more roll resistance; the contours of the bar may differ slightly, if some of the bends were not necessary. This kit may come with none, some or all of the hardware required to install the bar depending on the application. If hardware is not included with the kit, the hardware from the O.E. bar must be retained and re-used. If these parts are too worn to be re-used it will be necessary to obtain them from your O.E. parts dealer. If your car/truck was not equipped with O.E. bar, the installation of this bar may not be possible.
Step 1. Remove the O.E. bar and retain the O.E. hardware needed for reinstalling the new sway-bar. Do not allow the suspension to hang as this will cause a binding effect and will be more difficult or impossible to remove the O.E. bar or install the new bar.
Step 2. This bar was designed to mount in the same location as the O.E. bar. Install the bar using the O.E. hardware and/or any supplied hardware if any was provided.
Step 3. On applications with end-links, tighten them until the end-link bushings just deform slightly. Do not over tighten.
Step 4. After installation is complete, check the suspension travel and suspension parts for any interference with the sway-bar and with other parts. ON FRONT SWAY-BARS, ALSO, TURN WHEELS FROM LOCK TO LOCK TO CHECK TIRE CLEARANCE.
Step 5. Road test your car/truck to familiarize yourself with its new handling. As we cannot supervise your installation, or your driving we cannot be responsible for more than the cost of the kit. REMEMBER: A REAR SWAY-BAR SHOULD NEVER BE INSTALLED UNLESS AN ADEQUATE FRONT BAR IS ON THE VEHICLE.
