1. Disconnect Battery. Do not skip this step. Also, do not try to “test” the LED array by connecting the leads directly to your battery. Permanent damage will occur to the LED array if you fail to heed these steps.
2. Choose a suitable location to mount the taillight.
3. Using the supplied template, mark the centers of the three holes required for installation.
4. Drill two (2) 1/4” holes for the mounting studs and one (1) 3/8” hole for the wiring.

Installation of this baseplate requires removing the plastic belly pan. The brackets attached to the vehicle's frame and the tie down brackets also need to be removed. They will be replaced with the baseplate's side mounts. The plastic around the tie down brackets will need to be trimmed.
1. Read the General Instruction Sheet included with this baseplate.
2. Under the front corners of the car there is a stamped metal bracket that protrudes down with a slot at the bottom. These are called the tie down brackets. The baseplate mounts to the outside of the tie down brackets and to the center engine support bolts, using ten bolts, eight of which are supplied with the baseplate.

If your BMW air conditioning has stopped working the chances are you have lost most or all or your system refrigerant. The fastest way of finding out is to attempt to have the system refilled by a specialist. They will evacuate any remaining gases and then pressure test the system before refilling. When mine was pressure tested it was immediately obvious that there was a leak somewhere within the condenser matrix situated in front of the engine radiator.

The rear axle bearings that are used on a 1955 to 1964 are a “press- on” style ball bearing. The bearing supports the axle in the rear end housing and also serves as the seal and axle retainer. An O-ring around the outside of the bearing seals to the rear end housing, while a lip seal is located on the outside face of the bearing that keeps rear end lube inside the housing. When an axle bearing starts to leak (usually because the bearing cage is disintegrating) the rear end lube will ruin the rear brake shoes. If the bearing becomes loose, it will start to roar and possibly ruin the axle and/or rear end housing. In this article we will show the proper way to remove and install new rear axle bearings.
