The adhesive kit is not included. It must be ordered seperatly according to the parts List. For compliance with the TÜV certificate and ABE other adhesives are not permitted. The adhesive kit, comprising cleaner primer and P1 adhesive, is obtainable as part number 000 071 785 Please read fitting instructions thoroughly before commencing installation. We recommend that fitting of the roof spoiler is carried out by a specialist workshop.
Recommendation:The roof spoiler is precision manufactured and pre-primed. However, trial fitting should still be carried out in accordance with these fitting instructions before painting.
1. Trial fitting of roof spoiler Thoroughly clean tailgate in application area of roof spoiler.
2. Note: Roof-edge spoiler is provided with magnets to assist fitting. Position edge of roof spoiler against upper edge of rear screen, align and check fit. Mark contact points with suitable means. Re-check exact position of markings by re-applying roof spoiler. Then remove roof spoiler again and paint according to painting instructions.
3. Fitting roof spoiler Thoroughly clean tailgate in application area of roof spoiler once more with enclosed cleaner.
4.1 Roughen roof spoiler in adhesion area with enclosed abrasive paper and thoroughly remove any paint residue.
4.2 Then thoroughly clean adhesion area with enclosed cleaner.
