Polyurethane is a flexible material. Occasionally during shipping, sections of the lip may warp or bend in unusual shapes. DO NOT WORRY! Simply lay the lip flat and out in the sun for a day and it will return to its normal shape. To cure the waviness of the front portion, simply purchase a long metal or wood section, clamp this metal section inside the lip (clamps can be purchased at Home Depot), and lay out in the sun for about a day. This will fix the waviness problem.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Be sure you advise your painter that he/she will be painting polyurethane, not ABS plastic.
2. Be sure to PAINT THE LIP FLAT USING THE STYROFOAM PIECE AS SUPPORT. lips are laid on saw horses, hung, or otherwise not laid on the Styrofoam pieces, waviness will occur.
3. Prep the lip by sanding with 500 grit sandpaper, then cleaning with Dupont 2320 or 2319 Plastic Cleaner.
