This instruction sheet is designed to cover a wide variety of vehicle applications. If your vehicle is not equipped with the items referred to in these instructions (EGR, transmission kick-down linkage, air conditioning, or power brakes), proceed to the next step.
The WEIAND 7546 & 7547 “X-CELerator” manifolds were designed to be used on pre-1987 stock small block Chevrolet blocks/heads. They will work on 1987-92 blocks/heads with modifications to the 4 center mounting holes. Also, these manifolds will work with any aftermarket cylinder heads, as long as they have stock ports/bolt locations. The effective RPM range of these manifolds is 1500 through approximately 6500 RPM. The carburetor-mounting pad is designed to accept any square-bore aftermarket carburetor (spread-bore will NOT fit). Combined with WEIAND’s dyno-matched cam kits, the “X-CELerator” provides the ultimate in mid-range torque for hot street/strip performance. The “X-CELerator” manifolds have been designed to accept most stock
hardware, such as coolant and vacuum lines, coils, and brackets. Little alterations, if any, will be required.
It may be necessary to purchase some of the parts listed below (or their equivalents) in order to properly complete the manifold installation. Determination of equivalency is the responsibility of the consumer. WEIAND does not assume that responsibility.
