99-04 Ford SuperDuty ¾ ton 2WD F250 Spring Part# 2814 HD

Spring kits are to be installed on vehicles with stock suspensions only. Installation images corresponding to numbered process steps on next page. Note: Application requires a front-end realignment post spring installation. Note: Application requires replacement of existing shock absorber with an extended vertical travel model.
1. Jack the front of vehicle in accordance to manufacturer recommendation and support frame with jack stands, remove the front tires/wheels. Start on passenger side.
2. Position ample support under I-Beam/coil spring and lightly compress the spring.
3. Remove factory shock absorber lower mounting nut leaving shock mounted at top or remove and discard, see step#10.
4. Remove the front sway bar end links where they secure at bar, both L & R sides allowing the bar to pivot as needed.
5. Slowly back off the support from below I-Beam decompressing coil spring in a controlled manner. With spring tension released and I-Beam still supported remove and discard the stock spring retention clip/bracket at top. [retain clip/bracket bolt for reuse]
6. Remove nut and circular spring retention hold-down plate at bottom.
7. To assist in the installation of the new spring, note the coil springs seated position, lower support allowing spring removal. Match up old and new springs, look for unique features to identify the top vs. bottom.
8. Install new coil spring taking note to re-seat/index it the same way as was noted above.
9. Secure coil in place with lower spring retention plate/nut, and in an opposite manner to its removal, raise the I-Beam /coil spring into place while ensuring the spring is seating correctly
10. [*] Install new extended travel shock absorber; install the new larger spring retention clip/bracket [provided with springs].
11. Refrain from reattaching sway bar end links until steps 2-3 & 5-10 are repeated on the driver side. Once completed, then reattach sway bar end links at both sides of the bar.
12. Install the front tires/wheels. With installation completed lower vehicle.
13. Ensure torque values of all nuts/ bolts affected by spring installation are per manufacturer recommendation.
14. APPLICATION REQUIRES A FRONT–END ALLIGMNNET BE PREFORMED.
