2007 Chevrolet 2500HD Crew Cab Pro Step Installation Instructions

Prepare to Install Kit Drivers Side of Vehicle
Install kit driver side front bracket (body mounted).
a. Support Transmission crossmember remove two bolts on driver side frame rail.
b. Disconnect emergency brake cable at connection located in proximity to crossmember.
c. Secure kit driver side front bracket to frame rail using OE bolts just removed. kit Driver side bracket has large hold in it. kit bracket should be bolted in below crossmember.
d. Install one kit bolt (7/16 x 1-1/4”) & hardware through remaining hole in bracket and side of frame rail.
Install kit passenger side front bracket.
a. Make sure transmission crossmember is still supported and remove two mounting bolts on passenger side.
b. Mount kit passenger side front bracket two crossmember in same way as driver side using OE hardware.
c. Mark remaining hole location in bracket on frame rail and drill out to 7/16”.
d. Secure using kit bolt (7/16 x 1-1/4”) & hardware.
Install kit rear brackets.
a. Remove rear cab body mount bolt.
b. Position kit rear bracket so that mounting face aligns against front face of body mount perch and loosely secure with OE cab bolt just removed. Washer should still be installed against body mount in OE position.
c. Install one kit bolt (7/16 x 1-1/4”) & hardware through bracket and hole in perch.
d. Repeat on opposite side of vehicle.
