Ford Trunk Light Kit Installation

Installing a trunk light kit on a Ford Crown Victoria or Chevrolet Impala requires different installation instructions for different model years. Please use the instructions that pertain to your make and model of vehicle.
1998 and 1999 Ford Crown Victoria
Use the “Ford Trunk Light Kit ETLK01xx” Installation Instructions.
2000, 2001, 2002 Ford Crown Victoria and 2000 and newer Chevrolet Impala
Follow the standard FORD TRUNK LIGHT KIT Instructions (ETLK01xx) through Step #8. For the 2000, 2001, 2002 Crown Victoria and 2000 and newer Impala, follow these instructions for the completion of the installation.
1. Connect the Orange and Brown wires to the relay as shown below.
2. Mount the relay, on the trunk lid just below the SOI Trunk Lights, using the Sheet Metal Screw.
3. Route the white wire, in the harness, to the relay. Cut the wire to length and terminate with a 1/4 female connector. Connect the white wire to pin 87 on the relay.

5. Connect the relays orange wire to either the Ford Trunk Light’s green/orange trace wire or the Impala orange wire using a T-Tap and male connector.
6. Connect the relays brown wire to either the Ford Trunk Light’s brown/white trace wire or the Impala red/black trace wire using a T-Tap and male connector.
