Use of your TEC Cup Holder
Slide open the console storage door, press the back of the cup holder. The holder will unfold from the tray.
Some tips for use:
• The holder is designed to accommodate a wide range of cup sizes. If you regularly use a single cup size (e.g., you favorite commute mug), place a ‘cup sock’ on the mug if the fit is too loose.
• We’ve included some ‘pads’ that can be added to the wings on the holder (see arrows) to help support smaller cups. Larger cups may not benefit from these pads.
• You can adjust the space behind the cup by either sliding the console storage door down slightly, or adjusting the sliding armrest (if equipped) forward towards the back of the cup.
Installation
Installing your new cup holder is a two-minute
job. There are three simple steps:
1. Remove your existing console storage assembly – this simply ‘pops’ out
2. Swap the plastic tray for your new TEC cup holder
3. Replace the storage assembly into your center console
Step 1 – Remove storage tray
With the tray door up, firmly grasp the upper part of the storage tray and pull up and away from the center console. This may require a moderate tug. This is the most difficult step!
If the tray is too difficult to remove, you can also pop it out from the inside by accessing it thru the emergency brake area. To remove the frame surrounding the brake handle, squeeze the sides at the rear of the frame first to release the grip of the frame clips, then pivot the frame towards the front to release the front clip.
