I am not a mechanic, nor do I claim to know the best way to install this kit. This is simply a document detailing
the method I used to install the springs on my wife’s 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T 4.0L.
Installation:
1. Read through all the instructions at least 1 time, and then begin the installation process.
2. Using the 10mm wrench, remove the battery terminal connectors.
3. Remove the bottom bolt from the battery tray; this should free the battery to be lifted out.
4. After the battery has been removed, open the fuse box and disconnect the RED cable using a 13mm socket.

For All BMW vehicles: A good location to mount the GATEWAY 500 is behind the head unit. If the vehicle is equipped with an existing CD changer connector, the GATEWAY 500 can be connected at this location, but for this type of installation an extension kit for the USB and iPod cables might required to route the wires to the front of the vehicle, use Dension Part# EXT1GW0.
