Preparation
1. Turn off car engine and remove key from ignition
2. Un-mount your radio from the dash in order to get access to the back side of the radio.
Adapter installation
3. Attach square 14 pins connector to the back of the Honda stereo.
4. Find a place where you can place Car2PC. In many cars there is enough room in the dash to place Car2PC.
Note: Make sure you mount Car2PC in a place with enough room so when you mount the car stereo back you do not break the adapter

In cars with a BMW Business CD radio up to 09/01 and in all other cars up to 03/01, the aerial booster must be replaced by an aerial booster for cars from 09/01 or 03/01 onwards, respectively. This aerial booster is not included in the retrofit kit and must be ordered separately (see EPC for part number and documentation).

Installation of GATEWAY 500 unit Dual FOT
For All Audi vehicles: A good location to mount the GATEWAY 500 unit is at the CD Changer behind the glove box. If the vehicle is equipped with the in-dash CD Changer, install the GATEWAY 500 unit behind it. Interfacing in the MOST optical ring should be done as shown in the installation guide.
For All Audi vehicles NOT equipped with a factory CD Changer, the GATEWAY 500 interface shall be integrated into the optical MOST ring at the output of the head unit.
For All Audi vehicles equipped with a factory CD Changer, the GATEWAY 500 interface shall be installed at the factory CD Changer location

This “how to” guide installs the kit into a Z4 with no CD changer and a standard business cd (no sat nav), ipod location in the central compartment.
1: The kit
2: Disconnect battery with 10mm socket
3: Now it’s a bit of a pain, but to get easier access to centre console I removed the boot carpet. Use a large flat head screwdriver to remove the retaining screws on the left and the right hand side of the boot. You need to reach behind the carpet to hold the nut at the back.

For All BMW vehicles: A good location to mount the GATEWAY 500 is behind the head unit. If the vehicle is equipped with an existing CD changer connector, the GATEWAY 500 can be connected at this location, but for this type of installation an extension kit for the USB and iPod cables might required to route the wires to the front of the vehicle, use Dension Part# EXT1GW0.
