VS1410 Kit incorporates Camshaft Setting Plates, which are fixed in place of the camshaft bearing caps to accurately position the four camshafts in their timed positions. The kit also includes the specialised Tensioner Tool required to correctly adjust belt tension on this engine.
NOTE: TDC position is established using VS1404 TDC Positioning Tool - an associated tool, not included in this kit. VS1404 requires a suitable Dial Test Indicator, such as AK9634M.
APPLICATION
ALFA ROMEO: 156 (97-) V6 2.5 Quad Cam 24v. Petrol Engine. AR324.01 2.5 engine.

Alfa Romeo 156 owners wishing to improve their car’s handling would do well to take a look at the new springs from SPAX Performance. SPAX have been designing and manufacturing suspension for sporting Alfas for decades - and they still list cars such as the Alfa Sud, the GT1750 Veloce and the ‘74 GTV in their current catalogue alongside almost all of Alfa’s modern models.

Parrot UNIKA is a universal interface that allows you to control the Parrot MKi9000/MKi9100/ MKi9200 directly with the OEM steering wheel commands. Parrot UNIKA can work with car protocols such as CAN, KBUS or resistive systems. Before installing the Unika, make sure you have the latest software update on your Parrot MKi. If you have a Parrot MKi9100, make sure you also have the 3.1 display version. To do so, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information.

This paper describes the analysis of the flow in the intake manifold of a V6 gasoline engine performed using WAVE 1D engine cycle simulation program alone first, and then using WAVE coupled with 3D CFD VECTIS. The work shows how modeling in 3D selected components of the inlet manifold embedded within the 1D flow network leads to improvements in prediction accuracy.
The main purpose of this work was to improve the WAVE model of the V6 3.2l engine, scheduled for installation in the GTA version of the popular Alfa Romeo 156 vehicle. Moreover, this work was also part of a comparative study between two intake manifolds differing in shape and volume.

The Alfa Romeo brand name is one of the most emotive in the automobile world, with a sporting heritage that stretches way, way back. The subject of this test – the 156 GTA manual sedan – captures all the excitement, exhilaration and emotion of the Alfa Romeo spirit, perhaps better than any other Alfa model of recent times.

The procedure below was written up for a 1998 2.0 Twinspark with vented front discs but should be the same for all 156 models. The shape of the pads will differ between vented and solid discs at the front. Later models have larger rear discs and therefore different pads. It should not matter if we are talking standard brakes with normal or drilled/grooved discs with high-speed road pads - the process is the same. The only difference is that some front pads don’t have the wear indicator so you will need to tie the cable back out of the way if not required.
