1994 Land Rover Timing Belt Replacement Intervals

The information relating to timing belt replacement intervals is additional to the main purpose of this CD, but is included to provide guidance to garages and for customer advice. Where possible the recommended intervals have been compiled from vehicle manufacturers' information. In a few instances no recommendation has been made by the manufacturer and the decision to replace the belt must be made from the evidence of a thorough examination of the condition of the existing belt.

Alfa Romeo V6 Petrol Engine Setting/Locking Tool Kit

VS1410 Kit incorporates Camshaft Setting Plates, which are fixed in place of the camshaft bearing caps to accurately position the four camshafts in their timed positions. The kit also includes the specialised Tensioner Tool required to correctly adjust belt tension on this engine.
NOTE: TDC position is established using VS1404 TDC Positioning Tool - an associated tool, not included in this kit. VS1404 requires a suitable Dial Test Indicator, such as AK9634M.

ALFA ROMEO: 156 (97-) V6 2.5 Quad Cam 24v. Petrol Engine. AR324.01 2.5 engine.

The information relating to timing belt replacement intervals is additional to the main purpose of this CD, but is included to provide guidance to garages and for customer advice. Where possible the recommended intervals have been compiled from vehicle manufacturers' information. Special Tools
Camshaft locking tools – Alfa Romeo No.1.825.041.000
Inlet camshaft holding tool – Alfa Romeo No.1.822.155.000
Exhaust camshaft holding tool – Alfa Romeo No.1.822.146.000
Timing Belt tensioning tool – Alfa Romeo No.1.822.149.000
Balancer shaft belt tensioning tool – Alfa Romeo No.1.822.154.000

Special Precautions
Disconnect battery earth lead
DO NOT turn crackshaft or camshaft when timing belt removed
Remove spark plugs to ease turning engine
Turn engine in normal direction of rotation
DO NOT turn engine via camshaft or other sprockets
Observe all tightening torques.
