This document provides all the necessary information to allow your Whelen product to be properly and safely installed. Before beginning the installation and/or operation of your new product, the installation technician and operator must read this manual completely. Important information is contained herein that could prevent serious injury or damage.
Installation:
1. Locate the two radiator supports shown in figure 1 (A). The siren bracket will share the radiator support bolts and the middle bolt (B) that holds the gravel shield on.
2. Remove the 2 bolts from the radiator supports and the middle bolt that holds the gravel shield on. You should be able to access the radiator support through the vehicle’s front vent holes.
3. Slide the bracket into the space between the radiator and the radiator supports as shown in figure 3.
4. Replace the radiator support’s mounting hardware to secure the front of the bracket to the vehicle (Fig. 2).
5. Using the appropriate brace (see note), secure the rear of the bracket with the bolt you removed from the gravel shield (Fig. 2).
6. Extend the siren wires to your siren amplifier and follow the amplifiers instructions for the hook-up.
