For easier assembly and installation, vehicle and all snowplow components should be on a smooth, level, hard surface, such as concrete.
1. Remove license plate bracket and retain for vehicle owner. Remove bumper from bumper brackets. Retain fasteners.
2. Remove bumper brackets from frame. Diesel and V10 applications: On these applications, you must first remove the top two intercooler fasteners. Then push intercooler up and out to provide clearance to remove bumper bracket bolt assembly. Retain fasteners. Vehicles equipped with tow hooks will need tow hooks and tow hook brackets removed. These cannot be reinstalled with plow mount. Retain tow hooks, brackets and fasteners for reinstallation if snowplow is removed.

Truck Preparation
1. Check part quantities using the Parts List for the specific vehicle type.
2. Block vehicle wheels. Some vehicles may require you to raise the rear of the truck in order to make it easier to drill for installing the Mounting Brackets on the truck frame.
3. You may wish to remove the wheels, to give yourself greater working room.
