The position of the throttle is controlled by a digital position controller which emits a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) duty cycle and a direction bit.
After the output stage has been deactivated, the throttle is brought into emergency air position by means of two springs.

Installation Procedures
Notes: (1) When the battery is disconnected, the doors, hood, and trunk lock. Although you can manually unlock the doors with the key, you will not be able to open the front hood if you close it after disconnecting the battery. To preclude a problem, open the car’s windows and securely prop open the hood before disconnecting the battery.

Removing cover for center dashboard (defroster trim)
Installation Location: 1. Insert plastic wedge under dashboard cover (defroster trim) center -1- and lever out in upward direction - 2. Disconnect plug connection for sun sensor.
